About the branch

The GCU Old Boys Association UK was formed in the 1980's  by a few enthusiastic Old Boys. It was largely run on an informal basis until 1994 when it was formally regulated with regular meetings, and a fixed term Executive.
Today it has over 80 active members with the list continually growing. The oldest founding member was No.7 of the pioneering Class of 1945.

UK Branch Annual Dinner 2010
Every year since 1994 the UK branch has held a dinner and dance and year on year the attendance has grown exponentially with guests coming from Nigeria, Europe and America. Whilst the main aim of the event is to bring people together in a social environment the association has always managed to raise money (mainly through raffle draws and "Ughelli" auctions) to implement projects and initiatives for the old school.
Date: Saturday, 30th October, 2010
Time: 6.30pm for 7.45pm
