The Government College Ughelli Old Boys Association Maiden National Annual Fund Raising Dinner will hold at the Grand Hotel, Asaba, Delta State on Thursday 7th June, 2012.
The rebuilding of the physical infrastructure, curricular and human capital of the school will dominate the agenda.

PGWW Inaugurates Culture Audit Committee

The National Executive Council (NEC) of GCUOBA, aims to reinvent the pristine glories which Government College, Ughelli was so much endowed and known for throughout the country, when education was education in Nigeria.
At a NEC of GCUOBA meeting in Warri on 17th March, 2012, the President General Worldwide (PGWW), Chief J.J. Akpieyi, inaugurated the Government College, Ughelli, Culture Audit Committee, under the Chairmanship of Dr. Henry Bozimo, with highly qualified, tested and distinguished Old Boys as members.

February 15 – 16 marked yet another milestone in the annals of Government College, Ughelli, Old Boys Association Worldwide. The Annual Reunion which took place in the college compound on Thursday, 16 February, 2012 was preceded by a meeting of the GCUOBA National Executive Council (NEC) at Ishaka Hotel, Warri, where various issues were discussed, and far reaching decisions taken for the overall interest of the alma mater. In the recent past, Government College Ughelli Old Boys Association (GCUOBA) has expended a lot of time, efforts and huge financial resources to repair damaged, degraded and dilapidated infrastructure in our alma mater. GCUOBA is on course, proceeding with its quest to restore Government College Ughelli (GCU) to the good old glorious days and has recorded amazing successes. This is not surprising. Many high-net-worth old boys hold our alma mater in high esteem; and consistently demonstrate genuine commitment and favourable disposition to issues relating to the College.
